Qatar and Tunisia clash in the group stages of the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup on Saturday, as both teams aim to make one final push to reach the knockout stages. Interestingly, both teams occupy the bottom two places in Group A with just one point each, meaning a draw would see both of them go out as Syria and Palestine, the other teams in the group, have four points.

Hosts of the tournament, Qatar began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 loss to Palestine as Sultan Al-Buraike struck an own goal in the 95th minute.
Against Syria, the Maroons conceded late once again as Omar Khribin canceled out Ahmed Alaaeldin’s opener in the 90th minute to force a 1-1 draw.
As for Tunisia, the Eagles of Carthage lost 1-0 to Syria in their first game before throwing away a two-goal lead against Palestine to draw 2-2.
They sit above Qatar in the group by the virtue of having scored more goals.
