Donegal players have been urged to check their tickets as the Daily Million Plus winner of €500,000 is yet to collect their prize.

The National Lottery is appealing to Daily Million Plus players in the Ardara area of Donegal to check their tickets from the 2pm draw on Sunday, October 12.

The winning ticket was bought at Ardara Filling Station, Portnoo Road in Ardara, Co Donegal, on Friday, October 10.

It comes as the top prize of half a million euros still hasn’t been claimed, and all National Lottery ticket holders have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

This means the Donegal winner has only five weeks to contact the lottery, with a deadline at the close of business on Saturday, January 10.

The winning Daily Million Plus numbers during the 2pm draw on Sunday, October 12, were 9, 16, 24, 29, 32, 38, with the bonus number 5.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery, Darragh O’Dwyer, has urged players in Donegal to check their old tickets from early October to make sure they don’t miss out on the substantial prize.

“We are hoping to hear from a Daily Million Plus player in Ardara who won €500,000 in the 2pm draw on Sunday, October 12,” he said.

“We’re encouraging everyone in the area to check their tickets from early October carefully, as you could be holding an amazing prize,” he added.

The holder of the winning ticket is advised to sign the back of it and keep it in a safe location.

They are asked to contact the National Lottery prize claims team by phone or email, and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery headquarters.
