Snow Expected Throughout Major NFL Game on Sunday

As Week 14 of the NFL season unfolds, the playoff picture is becoming clearer with each passing game, and several key matchups are set for Sunday.

One of the biggest showdowns is a rematch of the 2023 AFC Divisional Round, as the Cincinnati Bengals (4-8) travel to Highmark Stadium to face the Buffalo Bills (8-4) in a game carrying major playoff implications for both sides.

While Buffalo is still chasing the New England Patriots in the AFC East, the Bengals—despite being four games under .500—sit just two games out of first place in the AFC North. The two teams ahead of them, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, still have two meetings left, including one this Sunday.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals have won the last two matchups against Josh Allen and the Bills, and according to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, fans should expect steady snowfall throughout the entire afternoon in Buffalo.

“Steve, it’s a snow game here in Buffalo. Expect it to snow all morning and through the game,” Wolfe said. “This is the third meeting between Joe Burrow and Josh Allen. Burrow’s up 2–0. But James Cook told me this week, ‘I want no other quarterback in the world than Josh Allen. I’m behind him 100%. He’s going to take us where we need to go.’”

The Bengals are coming off a victory against the Ravens on Thanksgiving night, while the Bills were able to claw out a win over the Steelers. They trailed in the contest at halftime, but dominated the second half outscoring Pittsburgh 23-0.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Buffalo is favored over Cincinnati by six points and the current over/under is set at 53 1/2, despite the wintery conditions.

The last time these teams met in Buffalo, snow fell throughout the entire game, and the Bengals controlled it from start to finish. However, Cincinnati’s defense has declined significantly since that matchup, ranking near the bottom—or even last—in most statistical categories, despite showing improvement over the past three weeks.
