Lamar Jackson threw an interception to his cousin on Steelers

Lamar Jackson struggled over his last three games entering the Baltimore Ravens’ Week 14 meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers, going scoreless with three interceptions in that span. And at least through the first half of Sunday’s game, those struggles continued, as Jackson went 7-of-13 passing for 64 yards and an interception.
As if that wasn’t tough enough to stomach, Jackson’s own family member added a little extra insult to the struggle. The interception was made by Steelers cornerback James Pierre, who also happens to be Jackson’s cousin. It came on a lazy third-down lob by Jackson that didn’t have enough air under it.

Pierre, who’s played his entire six-year career for Pittsburgh after going undrafted from FAU, revealed in 2021 that Jackson is his first cousin, saying via Steelers Depot they played on the same team growing up and still talk every day. That conversation on Monday might get a little awkward after this one.
