Patrick Mahomes was getting treatment on his knee during Chiefs-Texans game

Patrick Mahomes was getting treatment on his knee during the Chiefs’ game on Sunday night.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a full participant at practice this past week, but he also was listed on the injury report.

Thanks to NBC Sports sideline reporter Melissa Stark, viewers learned that Mahomes was getting treatment on his knee during the Chiefs’ “Sunday Night Football” game against the Houston Texans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

In the third quarter, Mahomes was putting a heating pad on his left knee while on the sideline and stretching his leg, Stark noted.

“Not something he did in the first half,” Stark said.

Mahomes led a touchdown drive on the Chiefs’ first possession of the third quarter and helped shove a teammate who was running the ball to get a first down.

And after Stark’s report, Mahomes ripped off a 15-yard run.

Here is a look at what Mahomes was doing on the sideline as he got treatment on that knee.
