Chargers to activate rookie RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) from injured reserve ahead of Eagles game

The Chargers offense will get a boost in the backfield as Los Angeles looks to secure a playoff spot in the final stretch of 2025.
Rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of Monday night’s home game against the Eagles, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday on NFL GameDay Morning.
Hampton suffered a fractured ankle in Week 5 and was then placed on IR, adding to a tumultuous stretch for the Bolts that saw several injuries along the starting roster.
Two weeks prior to Hampton’s injury, veteran Najee Harris suffered a torn Achilles, which propelled the first-round rookie into a bigger role. It was then Hampton began to show real flashes, producing his first 100-plus rushing yard game in Week 4 and becoming the team’s rushing leader before suffering the fractured ankle on Oct. 5.
