NFL Week 14 picks: Why we like Browns, Bengals and Eagles
Lorenzo Reyes is back with his best bets for Week 14 games. He explains why he likes Browns, Bengals and Eagles.
That’s why they play the games.
The Indianapolis Colts entered the 2025 season with a one-way ticket to a top-five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. No one game them a chance with Daniel Jones as the starting quarterback, especially considering the team hasn’t been a threat since Andrew Luck’s sudden retirement in 2019.
Shane Steichen’s bunch certainly had talent, but did it have the right talent? Entering Week 14, it was clear that the answer was a resounding, “yes.”
Jones put himself in the MVP discussion early in the year, surpassing even the Colts’ wildest dreams. Jonathan Taylor also entered the MVP discussion for an Indianapolis offense that ranks No. 1 in scoring. The outlook was undeniably positive, until now.
The Colts instead boarded a train to the postseason, but the conductor is coming quickly and they might be forced to leave before reaching their destination. Jones was playing through a fractured fibula and then left Week 14 with an Achilles injury. The Colts are sliding, dropping three straight.
Now the division is in doubt and so are Indianapolis’ playoff hopes if things don’t turn around soon. Here’s a look at the Colts playoff chances, remaining schedule and overall AFC playoff picture:
Colts playoff odds
The Colts have an estimated 50% chance to make the playoffs after their Week 14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
Their chances would’ve improved to 86% with a win.
Indianapolis entered the week tied for first in the AFC South and in possession of the sixth seed in the AFC. Now they are second in the division and could drop to third with a Texans’ win in Week 14. For now, the Colts have the seventh seed in the AFC.
However, their remaining schedule is unforgiving and there are some key tiebreakers still to be decided within the division.
Colts remaining schedule
The Colts will face the NFL’s hardest schedule the remainder of the season, per Tankathon. All four of their games will be against teams with a winning record and two of them are against divisional opponents.
