Ellenbrook school locked down after possible stabbing

An Ellenbrook high school has gone into lockdown after an apparent stabbing incident on Monday afternoon.
Four ambulances were sent to Ellenbrook Secondary College just after 3pm, along with police, with reports that at least one teenage boy is injured. Two ambulances have since been stood down, while paramedics remain on the scene.

The boy has been transported to St John of God Midland Hospital for treatment.
WA police said they received reports of an altercation between a group of youths at a school in Ellenbrook just after 3pm.
“Police attended and are continuing to patrol the area,” they said.
“One person has received medical treatment for minor injuries.
“A number of people are assisting police with inquiries.”
Parents were sent a message stating that the school was in lockdown “as a precautionary measure to address an issue on campus”.
“The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and we are following all established procedures to ensure everyone remains safe,” the note said.
