Even my bat-biting dad Ozzy wouldn’t have eaten jungle grub, says Jack Osbourne as he reveals his wife is pregnant

AXED I’m A Celeb’s Jack Osbourne says hellraiser dad Ozzy would have struggled with Bushtucker Trials despite once eating a bat.

The star today reveals his wife is pregnant with their second child — and says the baby will help heal all his grieving family.
Interior designer Aree, 34, is due in two months — and the couple had told Jack’s dad, Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy, he was going to be a grandad again before his death.
And in an exclusive interview, he said Ozzy would have been “proud and laughing” over his jungle stint.
Jack, who has three daughters from a previous relationship, has not revealed the baby’s gender.

CAMP FURY
Jack Osbourne yells at I’m A Celeb stars as Martin CRIES… but is all as it seems?
He said the arrival would be the joy his family needed after a tough year.
He added: “It’s awesome. It’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing — probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way.
“It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.
“It’s been easy for me. It’s been a lot harder for my wife!

“We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected.
“But it’s something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously.”
Aree and three-year-old daughter Maple were reunited with Jack, 40, in Friday’s episode.
But he left in a double eviction that night.
During his 21 days in the jungle Jack often wept while discussing Ozzy who died aged 76 in July following a battle with Parkinson’s.
He said of his dad: “He would have been proud. My whole family’s proud of how I did. He would’ve been very supportive about my journey in the jungle.
“He would have been laughing at me at times, absolutely. He would have been like, ‘Why are you doing that? Why would you put your head in a basket with snakes? Why put your hand in a hole with a bunch of weird critters?’
“My dad always had a good sense of humour about this stuff and thought it was ridiculous, but in the most loving kind of way.”
Kelly is not a bully. She’s awesome. We had an absolutely fine friendship in camp
Jack
In 1981 Ozzy bit the head off a dead dove during a meeting with execs from CBS Records then spat it out in front of them.
A year later he did the same to a live bat thrown on stage during a US concert, leading to a frantic trip for rabies shots
In Bushtucker Trials Jack tried to neck a vomit fruit and worms cocktail.
Would Ozzy have handled it? Jack said: “Dad was a picky eater. So although he may have chosen to eat some strange things in his time, I don’t think he would have fared too well with that. I don’t know if you’ve tasted vomit fruit, it’s named that for a reason!”
Jack did nail most trials including an underwater challenge earning the nickname “Jack-quaman”.
His stint as chef led to what many viewers thought was a feud with model Kelly Brook.
But he insisted: “Kelly is not a bully. She’s awesome. We had an absolutely fine friendship in camp.
“There was never anything, at least on my side. We would chill and got on great, just like everyone.

“I think it was just protectiveness. We are kept in the dark about the episodes so I don’t know what went out there, what was said.”
Jack, who shot to fame in MTV reality show The Osbournes from 2002-05, was a late addition to I’m A Celeb, signing on November 2.
He said: “It was early. I was driving home from an appointment and got a text from my agent.
“I called back and he’s like, ‘I’m A Celeb want to see if you’re interested’. I was like, ‘Sure, why not?’
“I spoke to producers and had a conversation with the family just to say, ‘Where’s everyone at with this?’
“The only reason I did the show is because I had their complete support. The same would have gone if my dad was still here.
“And you know, who doesn’t like getting a pay cheque before Christmas? That doesn’t suck.”
Even the medics were like, ‘Oh, we haven’t seen that yet’. There’s a new freak creature in the jungle. It came for me

When he arrived in Oz after a flight cancellation, he was whisked to a hotel for four days and had to hand over his belongings.
But sneaky Jack had purchased a burner phone which he gave to security while keeping his personal mobile to make calls in the hotel.

“I had work to do, I was doing a bunch of s**t. I was calling Aree, my mum, the kids.
“They did search my stuff, they just didn’t search me, so I just had (the phone) in my pocket.
“If they would have found it, I would have been like, ‘Oh, OK, there goes my phone’.”
In camp Jack shed a stone on the rice and beans diet leaving him at 11st 2lb, his lightest adult weight.
And he needed help from medics after flies swarmed his sleeping bag.
Jack said: “I got completely eaten up, annihilated by them.
“I was taking antihistamines for the last couple of days because my arm was swelling up. The medics were like, ‘Oh, we haven’t seen that yet’. There’s a new freak creature in the jungle. It came for me.”
After his eviction, Jack spoke to Sharon, 73, and said: “She was super-supportive. She was like, ‘Oh, I’m so glad you’re home. You did so good’. She said it’s is the longest we’ve gone without speaking in 40 years. And that’s true. It’s weird.”
