Meet the British teenager now ranked as the world’s top 16-year-old

By the end of the 2025 season, British tennis was in one of its strongest positions in recent memory.

There are now ten Brits inside the top 200, with Jack Draper and Cameron Norrie both holding steady inside the top 30.

Emma Raducanu, meanwhile, is starting to find her footing again. She’s had a promising start to life under coach Francisco Roig and looks poised for a strong run in 2026.

The future looks bright as well. Sixteen-year-old Mika Stojsavljevic is currently the highest-ranked player of her age group on the WTA Tour.

British teenager Mika Stojsavljevic has been closing out the season in fine form, reaching the semi-finals of a W100 event in Dubai.

She’s taken down Polina Latcenko, Sinja Kraus, and Valentin Ryser to make it to the final four, and that run has pushed her into the top 300 for the first time.

Now ranked world number 298, it’s another big step for a player who’s been tipped for success ever since she broke through at Roehampton a couple of years back.

Up next for Stojsavljevic is Vera Zvonareva, a two-time Grand Slam finalist who made her return to tennis at age 41.

How Mika Stojsavljevic’s career has gone so far

Stojsavljevic was highly regarded by the LTA well before she claimed her status as the highest-ranked player of her age group.

The British prospect captured the US Open juniors title in 2024, getting past fellow rising stars Iva Jovic and Emerson Jones along the way.

She has also picked up two ITF titles early in her career, with wins coming in Nottingham in 2024 and Birmingham in 2025.

Stojsavljevic made her Wimbledon debut in 2025 after receiving a wild card from her home Grand Slam, though she fell to Ashlyn Krueger in the first round.
