A few surprises so farpublished at 13:35 GMT

We’re still waiting for some of the major categories, but there have been a couple of surprises so far.
Emily Blunt picked up a nomination for her role in The Smashing Machine opposite Dwayne Johnson.
That film struggled at the box office but getting into the supporting category is a real show of strength, and makes a nomination for Johnson more likely.
She’s up against stars including Amy Madigan, whose performance in Weapons has been a real fan favourite and seen a grassroots campaign to get her an Oscar nomination.
And it’s even better news than expected for British series Adolescence, which not only got nominations for Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty, who all won Emmys in September, but also their co-star Ashley Walters.
