Vince Gilligan’s Apple TV Show Can Officially Fix A Better Call Saul Injustice

It’s awards season, and the Golden Globes 2026 nominations list has been revealed, and with it comes the opportunity for Vince Gilligan’s Pluribus to correct an infamous Better Call Saul snub. Vince Gilligan’s TV shows are some of the most critically acclaimed shows of the last two decades.

Breaking Bad earned seven Golden Globe nominations over its five seasons, and Better Call Saul ended its six seasons with six Golden Globe Award nominations. Breaking Bad won twice, but Better Call Saul went home empty-handed. Hopefully, Pluribus can earn Gilligan the hardware his shows deserve.

Pluribus’ Awards Season Has Begun

Pluribus‘ awards season has officially begun with the 2026 Golden Globe nomination list arriving. Pluribus has two nominations this year, but they’re significant categories. Pluribus is nominated for Best TV Series, Drama, and Best Female Actor, TV Series Drama for Rhea Seehorn.

Pluribus will certainly be looking to earn as much acclaim as possible. It’s a bit harder to cancel a show after it’s been nominated for a major industry award, after all. Gilligan is no stranger to the awards circuit, and with the season finale approaching, his show’s awards chances will be a big talking point.

Rhea Seehorn Is Already An Emmy Frontrunner

Rhea Seehorn is going against Kathy Bates in Matlock, Britt Lower in Severance, Helen Mirren in MobLand, Bella Ramsey in The Last of Us, and Keri Russell in the Diplomat, and at the risk of angering the fans of those performances, Seehorn seems like the easy frontrunner in the category.

Seehorn’s turn as Carol Sturka has been exceptional, and she’s managed to create a character who is desperately sad even before humanity gets absorbed by some entity. Despite her internal sorrow, Seehorn still manages to bring out critical comedic and courageous sides of her character.

Seehorn’s also probably an Emmy frontrunner at this point as well. Her nomination for a Golden Globe is a great sign for her chances at the 2026 Emmys, which should be announced this summer. If Seehorn wins the Golden Globe, you can almost guarantee she’ll be nominated for an Emmy.

Rhea Seehorn Winning The Emmy For Best Actress Would Fix A Better Call Saul Injustice

If Rhea Seehorn wins a Golden Globe or an Emmy, it will fix a Better Call Saul injustice. Seehorn was not even nominated for a Golden Globe, and she lost both Emmys she was nominated for as Kim Wexler. Pluribus could be the moment Seehorn receives the award recognition everyone knows she deserves.
