Who are favourites to win the Premier League title this season?

Here’s how Paddy’s odds are shaping up…
Paddy Power’s Premier League title betting suggests we could be in for a wild ride this season.
It’s 40 years since Liverpool successfully defended their status as English champions and that looks unlikely to happen after a wretched run of results.
The Reds’ biggest rivals from recent seasons are waiting in the wings so let’s check out the leading contenders in our outright Premier League market…
Arsenal
“Always a bridesmaid, never the bride” is the best way to describe Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, after securing the silver medal in each of the last three seasons.
A lightning-fast start to the campaign has Gooners dreaming of the title, but a recent wobble has seen their lead cut to two points.
Arteta’s throwback to Stoke’s style of play in the peak Barclays era is certainly paying dividends.
Man City
Manchester City were Liverpool’s great foes during Jurgen Klopp’s reign before Pep Guardiola’s team suddenly lost their way last term.
Etihad chiefs responded by getting the chequebook out, and Guardiola’s gang boasts new faces, such as Rayan Aït-Nouri, Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders.
Erling Haaland looks back to his best, with 15 goals in as many games. This City team look softer than previous editions, but a solid response to successive defeats earlier in the campaign is a positive.
Liverpool
Liverpool romped to the crown in Arne Slot’s debut campaign (Jurgen who?).
Despite splashing the cash in the summer transfer window, it’s all gone wrong this term.
Liverpool won their first five games including a 1-0 victory over principal rivals Arsenal at Anfield, but have since lost six of their last 10 and that horror run has seen them slip to third favourites. Yikes!
Aston Villa
The division’s in-form team after rattling off five wins in a row.
Unai Emery’s outfit have climbed to third in the table and are well in the mix after beating Arsenal at the weekend.
Aston Villa face Chelsea and the Gunners (again) over Christmas which is likely to reveal whether they have the staying power.
Chelsea
Cole Palmer may have missed the bulk of the campaign through injury, but Chelsea‘s expensively-assembled squad is in the hunt.
Enzo Maresca has the Club World Cup winners sitting fifth in the table after bagging 25 points from their opening 15 matches.
Whether the Blues have the staying power remains to be seen, but they have an ace up their sleeve now Palmer’s returned to fitness.
