List of Triangle stores & government offices closed Monday because of snow

Schools, restaurants, businesses and other organizations announced closures this week because of the anticipated wintry weather.
Up to an inch of snow was expected across the Triangle on Monday, Dec. 8.
Government offices and nonprofit closures
- Inter-faith Food Shuttle is closing at 11 a.m. Monday and will be closed Tuesday due to weather.
- Wake Forest: Joyce Park and Flaherty Park community centers are closing at noon Monday. The Wake Forest Community House, Alston-Massenburg Center, Wake Forest Renaissance Centre and Wake Forest Center for Active Aging will close at noon Monday. Youth basketball games on Monday will be rescheduled, and all Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources programs for Monday are canceled.
- Raleigh: Evening parks programs are canceled Monday, and parks facilities will close at 5 p.m. Parks facilities will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

- Chapel Hill: Homestead Aquatic Center opened later Monday, at 8 a.m. instead of 5 a.m. The public library and indoor Parks and Recreation facilities are expected to close at 3 p.m. Monday and open at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
- Orange County: All Orange County Public Library locations will close 5 p.m. Monday, as well as Seymour and Passmore Centers.
- Clayton: The Clayton Center, Town Hall, Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library and Clayton Community Center will all close at 5 p.m. Monday. Meetings, activities and programs scheduled after 5 p.m. will be canceled.
- Durham: Waste Disposal & Recycling Center will close 3 p.m. Monday.
- Garner: Town facilities will close 4 p.m. Monday. Evening activities and the Planning Commission meeting is canceled.
- Chatham County: Government offices will delay opening until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
- Cary: Community Centers and other staffed facilities are closing at 5 p.m. Monday. GoCary suspended service at 4 p.m. Monday and will resume services at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Cary Town Hall will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, and curbside collection will happen as planned. Staffed facilities will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Businesses closed due to wintry weather
Events canceled Monday
- NC Chinese Lantern Festival is closed Monday and plans to reopen Tuesday, Dec. 9. Tickets for Monday can be used any other night, Koka Booth Amphitheater’s Instagram says.
- Pullen Park Holiday Express is postponed Monday. Tickets have been automatically transferred and will now be valid for Friday, Dec. 19, according to the City of Raleigh website.
