Manchester United paid tribute to Luke Shaw recently, with the defender was handed a gift from the club to commemorate reaching 300 matches for the club.
The 30-year-old has been at Old Trafford since 2014, having risen through the ranks at Southampton with plenty of impressive performances to show for his efforts.
Shaw has faced plenty of challenges ever since that switch, particularly with injuries, as he has battled back from several setbacks to get back into the United team.
Under Ruben Amorim, the England international plays a different role from that which he featured in earlier in his career, playing as more of a left-sided centre-back, rather than the marauding full-back or wing-back he once was.
That switch may help keep Shaw fitter for longer periods of the season, with less physical strain put on him than crusading up and down the flanks.
With the defender making the team in recent weeks, he made his 300th appearance for the club against Crystal Palace, as part of a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.
It was a long time coming for Shaw, with the club marking the moment with a frame that included plenty of pictures and a shirt with the number 300 on the back.
It was presented by director of football Jason Wilcox, who gave a big speech in front of the rest of the staff in the canteen at Carrington.

While it was a touching moment, it was one that Shaw was feeling quite sheepish about, as reported by The Sun, who claim he was uncertain about the club making a “song-and-dance” about the achievement.
It was a milestone that has been some time in the making, with the defender likely to be on plenty more appearances without his fitness issues.
That was a pertinent point made by United icon Denis Irwin, who paid tribute to Shaw on the Inside Carrington podcast, as he said: “He has been blighted with injuries, Luke, but I’ve got to say every manager, when he is fit, has picked him
“He has started every Premier League game this season so that tells you that Ruben is definitely backing him. He was brilliant [against Palace] and his recovery in a couple of tackles was needed by the way and particularly in the first half.
“It suits him to play in that left centre-half [role]. We know he can play the wing-back role, but relating it myself, I would have been more comfortable in that left centre-back role rather than being a wing-back. He has been fantastic for us this season.”
