Today (Monday 8 December) is a rather important day in our Christmas calendar, as it’s the day the TOWIE Christmas special arrives on ITV2 and ITVX.
If you’re an impatient keen bean like us, you can head on over to ITVX right now and watch the 90-minute special (basically a TOWIE Christmas movie at that length) or you can hold out until 9pm tonight and watch it on ITV2.

For the benefit of those who are yet to watch it, we’ll do our best to avoid spoilers, but we will say it’s pretty much got everything on your wish list; festive feels, laughter, tears, surprises, fresh feuds, old feuds, reconciliation and even new cast members.
Not only did the special feature Freddie Bentley’s sister Emily Bentley’s TOWIE debut, but according to matriarch Amy Childs, it marked her brother Wills Childs ‘officially joining the chaos’ that is TOWIE as a fully-fledged cast member.

Taking to her Instagram yesterday, Amy shared some stunning behind-the-scenes snaps from the 2025 Christmas special, captioning the post, ‘TOWIE Essexmas on tomorrow 9pm Itv2 @itvxofficial 🎄✨. This one was pure fun to film… and yes, my brother’s officially joined the chaos @willschilds88 🫠. Expect festive vibes, big laughs, and the drama you KNOW we deliver. 🔥😉🤣 @towie.’
We’re naturally taking this as the official announcement that Wills has joined the cast full-time, having guest starred here and there last series.
And given the fact that he basically hard-launched his romance (well, the very early stages of one) with one of our TOWIE queens in the Christmas special, it’s clear that Wills is going nowhere anytime soon.
Amy’s newly-single heartthrob of an older brother joined the show as a guest this summer and quickly caught the attention of some of the show’s leading ladies; namely, Ella Rae Wise, Elma Pazar and Saffron Lempriere.

And while none of those initial attractions led to anything significant, his new spark is giving major series 37 storyline…
During his TOWIE debut, Wills revealed he had just come out of a long-term relationship and was newly single. The identity of his ex-girlfriend hasn’t been revealed though.
