Olivia Rodrigo has been hinting at a new album for months, posting pictures from studios and teasing that she’s writing and recording, but no formal announcements have been made, and fans are waiting patiently for any scrap of information. The pop-rock superstar only recently concluded promoting her sophomore album Guts, as her global trek finished this past summer.
Amidst a busy touring schedule, Rodrigo also made time to headline the Glastonbury Music Festival in the United Kingdom in late June. A live album connected to her critically acclaimed performance was released on Friday (December 5), and it has become the most exciting and bestselling new release at the outset of this just-begun tracking period – and almost a quick No. 1.

Live From Glastonbury Marks Olivia Rodrigo’s First Live Album
Live from Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) marks Rodrigo’s first live album. The singer-songwriter has only delivered two full-lengths, Sour in 2021 and Guts in the fall of 2023, as well as a trio of soundtracks connected to High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, which helped turn her into a superstar in the first place. The Grammy winner has also shared multiple EPs, including collaborative projects with Noah Kahan and one with Weezer, which sold out immediately just a short time ago. Until now, if fans wanted to hear live renditions of her tunes, they largely had to head to a concert.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Two Collaborations with The Cure’s Robert Smith
Rodrigo announced Live from Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) in early September. At the time, she shared a double single of both “Friday I’m in Love” and “Just Like Heaven,” both collaborations with Robert Smith of The Cure, the band that initially made those songs famous. Proceeds from sales of the tunes, which were made available separately on digital download platforms and on physical formats as a double single, benefit Doctors Without Borders and were quickly snapped up by Rodrigo’s fans all around the world. The fast success of that early release showed that there is an appetite for not just brand new music, but live takes from the superstar.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Live Album: What Songs Are Featured?

In addition to her pair of duets with Smith, Rodrigo’s most famous smashes like “Drivers License,” “Vampire,” “Get Him Back,” “Good 4 U,” and “Deja Vu” are all included, as are most of the cuts she has released during her time in the spotlight.
