Jalen Hurts getting 2 turnovers on 1 play is so 2025 Eagles

The 2025 Philadelphia Eagles have not lived up to their Super Bowl pedigree.

Despite entering Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers with an 8-4 record, the vibes around the Eagles could not be more rancid. Philadelphia has gone 2-2 since their bye week and their offense, which was questionable in the first half of the season, has cratered to miserable lows. What was a historic offense last season has turned into one of the NFL’s worst, with much of the blame lying at the feet of first-year offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

The Eagles are still in control of their own destiny in the NFC East, but even the team has realized they’ve needed a vibes reset as an inflatable Easter Bunny has made its way into the locker room. Unfortunately, the inflatable Easter Bunny hasn’t worked its magic just yet as Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had a depressing first half on Monday night against the Chargers.

During the second quarter of Monday night’s game, Hurts became the first player in NFL history to record two turnovers on one play. How? Let’s roll the tape:

First, the interception to Da’Shawn Hand, who then fumbled on the return up the field. Hurts then reclaimed the football only to lose it mere seconds later when a Charger punched it out of his hand. Troy Dye then finally recovered the ball to end the chaotic sequence.

All in all, Hurts’ two turnovers on one play sum up just how dismal this season has been for the former Super Bowl champions.
