Mac DeMarco has released another secret album. Following the recent Dog on a Rock, which he gave away as a free CD-R at shows, he has now released Seven Off the Two in the same manner.
A Reddit user going by the name JackShediac posted on Friday (December 5) and wrote, “Went to the mac concert last night and got a different cd.” They shared a photo of the burned CD, which appeared to have been signed by DeMarco. They didn’t specify where they’re located, but judging by the date, the show would have been in Moncton, NB.
That same Reddit user subsequently shared the album on SoundCloud. Much like Dog on a Rock, it consists of mellow acoustic jams over which DeMarco scats nonsense in a falsetto. This time around, he brings a little more of his signature wobble, while the first track is eight minutes of drums.
