PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns walked into Minnesota short-handed and walked out with something far more valuable than a 108-105 road win over the Timberwolves. It was a victory that is defining what this Suns team is, and even more so, what they can become.

Monday night provided proof that their depth can anchor real ambitions and the mental toughness to survive runs and close possession-by-possession. Minnesota’s five-game home streak didn’t crack Phoenix’s composure; instead, the Suns leaned on disciplined spacing, collective shot creation, and a bench that refused to wilt when momentum dipped.

A massive turning point in the second half came with 8 minutes left in the third quarter, T-wolves center Rudy Gobert threw an elbow into the rib cage of Suns center Mark Williams, which sent Williams to the ground in pain. After review, Gobert was ejected after the foul was upgraded into a flagrant two, and Phoenix now had a huge opening in the paint with the loss of Gobert. Williams ended up leading Phoenix in scoring on Monday night and ended up shooting 7-for-9 with 22 points. Williams also hit his first career NBA three-pointer.

Phoenix took care of business even without their two stars Devin Booker and Jalen Green, and are taking down some of the best of the Western Conference massive road matchups that are highlighting how Phoenix’s HC Jordan Ott is making their offense work. The adjustments made that suit the depth pieces surrounding Phoenix are showing that no matter what might throw a wrench into their plans, they will still be able to contend. With their 108-105 win over the Timberwolves on Monday night, Phoenix’s confidence continues to grow during this tough stretch full of road games.
