DeVonta Smith addresses frustrations with Eagles’ offense
DeVonta Smith addresses Philly’s struggles and what needs to change moving forward this season.
No NFC East team has won back-to-back division titles since 2004. The Philadelphia Eagles were the last team to do it, and their 2025 squad is currently in position to break the 20-year drought.
Through 14 weeks of the 2025 NFL season and even after their “Monday Night Football” loss, the Eagles hold sole possession of first place in the division with an 8-5 record. Despite offensive struggles and question marks at some key defensive positions, Philadelphia is in position to win a second straight NFC East title.
That isn’t to say things may not get interesting down the stretch. The Dallas Cowboys had won three straight before a loss on “Thursday Night Football” pushed them back to a .500 win percentage. They’re still threatening to make a push for the NFC East title in the final four weeks of the season.
With Dallas just one game back of Philly in the loss column, there’s room for a late-season shake-up. But the Eagles are still in the driver’s seat with four weeks to play, and they still control their own destiny with one of the NFL’s easiest remaining schedules.
Here’s a full look at Philadelphia’s playoff picture after Week 14:
Eagles playoff odds
NFL Next Gen Stats gives the Eagles a 93% chance to make the playoffs after their “Monday Night Football” loss and the Cowboys’ loss on “Thursday Night Football” during Week 14.
If the season ended after this week, Philadelphia would hold the No. 3 seed in the NFC side of the playoff bracket. The Eagles still hold the top spot in the NFC East, but their 8-5 record keeps them behind the two division leaders, the Rams (10-3) and Packers (9-3-1), who stand atop the conference.
The Eagles have lost three straight and have scored more than 20 points once in their last five games. The surging Cowboys are winners of three of their last four – including in Week 12 over Philadelphia. With four weeks to play, the Eagles will need to right the ship offensively to stave off a Dallas push for the NFC East title.
Eagles remaining schedule
The Eagles have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL to close out the season. Philadelphia only has one more game against a team currently in playoff position, and it’s in the AFC. The NFC East leaders’ only two divisional games remaining are both against the Washington Commanders, who sit at 3-10 through 14 weeks.
Tankathon rates their remaining schedule as the fourth-easiest league-wide. Here’s who the Eagles still need to play:
