Hurts turnover prone

It is clear the Eagles are committing to fielding a pass-oriented offensive orientation to open things up. They used 11 personnel exclusively on their opening drive, which they’d done only twice before this season. Notably, Cam Latu was Dallas Goedert’s sub at tight end on the second drive.
They’ve used Latu as a fullback this season. He lined up in the backfield within a three-wide receiver look that yielded a 10-yard run by Saquon Barkley.
The Eagles are still getting into too many long third-down situations. Jalen Hurts converted a third-and-12 by hitting Goedert on a good inside move in the open space of the Chargers’ zone coverage. But a wide receiver screen on third-and-9 to DeVonta Smith was snuffed out quickly.
The Eagles had to settle for a field goal. Will be interesting to see if OC Kevin Patullo commits to the three-wide receiver looks going forward. Their tight ends have not been particularly effective as run blockers this season.
