The troubled marriage of King & Wood Mallesons is set to end after just 14 years, with the partnership splitting into two separate firms in March.
The firm told staff late on Tuesday that it would separate into a China-focused King & Wood, which would absorb the large and profitable Hong Kong operation and smaller offices in Japan and New York, and Australia-based Mallesons, which would keep its Singapore business.
