Akshaye Khanna’s viral Dhurandhar dance was fully spontaneous: Actor Danish Pandor

Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar is drawing strong word-of-mouth after its December 5 release, especially for Akshaye Khanna’s electrifying entry sequence, a moment that actor Danish Pandor, who also stars in the film, revealed was entirely improvised by Akshaye. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller has been praised for Ranveer’s performance and Akshaye’s standout portrayal of Rehman Dakait, a powerful Pakistani crime lord and politician.

Pandor, who plays Uzair Baloch in the film, shared that Akshaye’s dance in the viral entry scene was completely spontaneous. “He did all of that on his own. Full choreography was happening and in the middle of that Akshaye sir asked Aditya, ‘can I dance?’ Aditya said, ‘whatever you feel like doing.’ So everyone is dancing and he looks at everyone and then he starts dancing on his own. And we were all awestruck,” Danish told Filmygyan.

In the scene, Akshaye Khanna, dressed in a crisp black suit, steps out of a car, greets the crowd with a composed salam, and watches dancers perform a traditional routine. He then unexpectedly joins in with a few steps before taking his seat, with Ranveer Singh sharing the frame.

Very, very underrated.” Some even compared it to Bobby Deol’s Jamal Kudu moment from Animal.
