West Virginia school systems announce delays, closures for Tuesday, Dec. 9

WEST VIRGINIA (WCHS) — The start of the school week saw hours of steady snowfall, prompting education officials to announce several delays and closures for county school systems in West Virginia.
The following counties announced they will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 9

- Clay
- Fayette
- Kanawha
- Roane
The following counties announced delays for Tuesday.
- Boone
- Cabell
- Calhoun
- Gilmer
- Greenbrier
- Jackson
- Lewis
- Lincoln
- Mason
- McDowell
- Mercer
- Mingo
- Monroe
- Nicholas
- Pendleton
- Pocahontas
- Putnam
- Raleigh
- Summers
- Upshur
- Wayne
- Webster
Logan County has moved to close some schools and delay others. Man Elementary and Middle School will be closed due to heating issues. All other Logan County schools will operate on a two-hour delay.
