A Status Orange Wind weather warning is currently in effect for Mayo.
Storm Bram will bring very strong to gale force southerly winds with severe gusts.
Impacts include flooding of low-lying coastal areas – especially during high tide, wave overtopping, difficult travel conditions, debris, loose objects being displaced, outdoor events being impacted and power outages.
The orange weather warning is valid until 7pm this evening (Tuesday, November 9).
According to Windy.com’s wind map, the storm will be at its strongest around 3pm/4pm in Mayo.
A Status Yellow Wind warning is also in effect until 9pm.
