Sudurpashchim Royals’ Binod Bhandari Scores Half-Century Amid Pressure in NPL Qualifier

In a thrilling encounter at the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, the Sudurpashchim Royals faced off against Biratnagar Kings in the first qualifier of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Amidst mounting pressure from the opposition and the situation of the game, Sudurpashchim’s batsman, Binod Bhandari, showcased remarkable resilience and skill, reaching a commendable half-century.
Bhandari’s fifty came off 44 balls, featuring a mix of aggressive and strategic strokes, including three boundaries and a soaring six that energized the crowd. His innings served as a crucial anchor for the Royals, especially as wickets continued to tumble around him. Despite being under increasing pressure, he maintained his focus and composure, navigating through challenging overs.
At the time he reached his milestone, the Royals found themselves at 105 runs with four wickets down in just 15.1 overs. The innings struggled as the team lost key players early; captain Dipendra Singh Airee was run out after scoring only three runs, and Ishan Pandey managed to contribute a mere 13 before his dismissal.
Currently, Bhandari is partnering with Harmit Singh, each playing a pivotal role in attempting to stabilize the innings for Sudurpashchim. Fans are eager to see if they can build a solid foundation for a competitive total as the match continues to unfold.
