The offer from the HSE may open the door for mass payouts to over 90,000 people affected by the ransomware attack
The HSE is offering victims of its 2021 ransomware attack €750 in compensation, a move that could lead to further payouts of over €100m from the cyber incident.
Over 90,000 people were contacted by the HSE and told they were affected by the attack, which was the biggest cybercrime incident in the history of the state.
