A stunning Kieran Morgan strike in the final seconds of the match dramatically took QPR into the Championship play-off places.
Jimmy Dunne gave Rangers a first-half lead but they appeared to have been denied victory when former Fulham man Patrick Roberts equalised in stoppage time.
But youngster Morgan, on as a substitute, fired into the net from near the edge of the penalty area to make it three consecutive home wins for the R’s.
Sixth in the table and having won of four of their past fives matches – and nine of 17 since a 7-1 hammering at Coventry in August – QPR are approaching the all-imporant Christmas period in a hugely promising position.

They took the lead when Koki Saito went past Jay Stansfield and delivered an excellent cross from the right towards skipper Dunne, who climbed above Phil Neumann to head in.
Richard Kone had a great chance to double the lead in the second half but volleyed wide after being found by Nicolas Madsen.
Rangers therefore came under late pressure – and were undone when Demarai Gray pulled the ball back for Roberts to score from 10 yards out.
But they hit back in emphatic style, sparking scenes of wild celebration at Loftus Road.
