Arkells’ Max Kerman to Appear in National Ballet of Canada’s ‘The Nutcracker’

Having headlined arenas across the country, Arkells main man Max Kerman is now set to conquer a whole new medium: he has joined the lineup of Cannon Dolls in the National Ballet of Canada’s production of The Nutcracker.
To be clear, the Cannon Dolls aren’t a dancing role. Rather, they’re a comedic pair who appear during Act I of the ballet and fire a confetti-filled cannon into the audience. The National Ballet of Canada typically hires Canadian celebrities to play the Cannon Dolls, with new stars appearing each night; Kerman will appear this year alongside CBC Q host Tom Power.
Toronto Raptors players Scottie Barnes and Jamal Shead are also in this year’s lineup, alongside various Olympians, Argos players, radio and TV hosts, and others. See all the names here.
The Nutcracker runs from December 6 to 31. Tickets for the run are close to sold out.
