Comedy icon found ‘slumped over unresponsive’ after being forced to live in shed

Comedy icon Andy Dick was reportedly found slumped over, unresponsive, from a suspected overdose in the middle of Hollywood. According to TMZ, the Inspector Gadget star, 59, was found slumped on some steps outside a building in Los Angeles, with his glasses on the ground. He was given Narcan at the scene, a drug to rapidly reverse the effects of an overdose.
The actor has since broken his silence, insisting to TMZ that he is okay after the incident – but did not address whether or not it was drug-related. The actor has been in and out of legal trouble in recent years, and in 2023 was arrested for public intoxication.
He has faced jail time previously for sexual battery, and in 2022 faced a felony burglary charge for allegedly stealing power tools from someone’s garage.
In 2011, Andy was living in a shed outside his ex-girlfriend’s home as his legal woes got too much, admitting: “I live in the back in a shed… I’m kind of in the dog house and I put myself there.”
He said of the shed: “It’s a man cave. I’ve got a 50 or 60 inch plasma with a sound system that will knock your ears out.”
As of 2022, he was living in an RV trailer – and has even been filmed on livestream in handcuffs as cops took him away for felony charges.
Speaking about his downfall, Andy said: “It’s never good when I drink. No good comes from it, ever.” He admitted: “I have to do my own things because people are afraid to hire me.
“Let’s start forgetting about my public antics and let’s, me included, start to focus on the fact that, remember, I’m an actor,” he said back in 2012.
Things continued on a downward spiral, however – and now fans are worried for the star after his latest collapse.
