It wouldn’t be the end of a calendar year without getting some insights on all the entertainment we’ve enjoyed from companies that have been helpfully keeping tabs on what we’ve experienced on their platforms (so kind of them!). Gaming companies have followed in the footsteps of Spotify Wrapped et al, and Microsoft looks likely to soon let Xbox gamers see what they’ve played this year and for how long.

Xbox Year in Review is surely almost upon us. After last year’s edition wrapped up, Xbox said it would “see you later in 2025.” So there’s little reason to doubt that Xbox Year in Review 2025 is almost here to tell you just how long you spent playing, say, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 via Game Pass.

But when exactly is Xbox Year in Review 2025 coming out? That’s remains unclear, but we can at least make some guesses based on previous years and other factors.

It’s hard to predict exactly when Xbox Year In Review 2025 is coming out, but sometime this week seems like a good bet. Microsoft will probably want to avoid making Xbox Year in Review available on the same day as PlayStation Wrap-Up, which has gone live on the second Tuesday in December on each of the last three years. So, December 9 is probably out.

Microsoft hasn’t locked in a consistent Xbox Year In Review release date as yet. The 2024 edition arrived on December 4 (we’re well past that date for this year) and the 2023 version of Xbox Year In Review dropped on December 12 – the same day as that year’s edition of PlayStation Wrap-Up.

It’s not going to drop on a Friday, especially not the morning after The Game Awards. December 11 would give Xbox a bit of breathing space, unless it decides to beat Sony to the punch and push the recap feature live today (Monday). But I’m going with my gut here and predicting that Xbox Year In Review 2025 will go live on Wednesday, December 10.

I’ll update this story to note when Microsoft has released Xbox Year In Review 2025.

Where To Find Xbox Year In Review 2025

It’s likely that you’ll be able to access Xbox Year In Review 2025 from the dedicated subsite that Microsoft has used for the event for the last couple of years: xbox.com/year-in-review

Once Xbox Year In Review 2025 is live – and you go to that site and log in with your Xbox account – you’ll be able to see various personalized stats for games you’ve played across the Xbox ecosystem in 2025. It’s very likely that you’ll be able to see your most-played games for the year, your total achievements for the year, monthly stats and more.

The 2024 edition included your top genres, stats within your top-three most-played games and a customized look based on your most-played game. If Xbox doesn’t change things too much from last year, you should be able to see the friends you played multiplayer games with the most, and view dedicated sections for Game Pass and Rewards.

What isn’t in doubt is that you’ll be able to share your results with friends and on social media. I wonder if Microsoft might introduce a personalized breakdown of your playtime across Xbox consoles, PC, handhelds and cloud this year too.

The 2024 edition of Xbox Year in Review was available in “select markets” until January 31, 2025. I’ll stick my neck out and predict that Xbox Year In Review 2025 will be available until January 31, 2026. Again, I will update this story with the confirmed date after Xbox Year In Review 2025 goes live.
