HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — One person was injured in a crash on Highway 544 on Wednesday morning, according to Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR).
Just before 7 a.m., crews were dispatched to the bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in the Socastee community.
Lanes of traffic are currently blocked due to several area crashes, likely caused by ice, HCFR said.

One person was transported to the hospital.
HCFR advises drivers to avoid the area at this time.
