There is disruption for commuters this morning as the Luas Green Line was down due to a power fault.
Luas advised commuters that, “Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this service disruption,” and apologised for the disruption.
The Red Line has also been impacted and is only operating between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield.
A Luas spokesperson has confirmed that Green Line services are currently operating between Sandyford and Brides Glen only. There is no service between Sandyford and Broombridge.
“Red Line services are currently only operating between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield. There is currently no service operating between Smithfield and The Point/Connolly. This is due to a power fault.
“Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this service disruption. We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” they added.
There are reports of traffic chaos elsewhere in the city this morning with traffic jams on the East Link Road and Sean Moore Road.
There may also be delays for commuters following an earlier crash on the M1.
The crash took place on the M1 southbound between Junction 3, Swords, and Junction 2, Dublin Airport and is currently blocking the hard shoulder and left hand lane.
