TMJ is the temporomandibular joint. It connects the jaw to the skull, and sits just in front of your ear canal. Serious injury or strain to this area can lead to TMJ disorders that create jaw dysfunction, limit movement and bring about all kinds of pain.
The good news? Relief is possible. The secret? Go see your dentist. That’s according to Justin Richer, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in treating TMJ disorder.
