Bayer Leverkusen vs Newcastle: Confirmed team news

Eddie Howe has named a strong side as Newcastle United make four changes for their Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen.

Lewis Hall, Sandro Tonali, Joelinton and Harvey Barnes all come into the starting XI at the BayArena following the weekend win against Burnley.

Bayer Leverkusen manager Kasper Hjulmand misses the game due to “personal reasons”.

The club have confirmed that assistant Rogier Meijer will take charge, as a result, but Hjulmand is expected back on the sidelines at the weekend for the derby game against FC Koln.

Talisman Alejandro Grimaldo is fit to start tonight after recovering from a knock while Arthur and former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah also return to the first XI.
