💬 “We played a good game, it was all going well, we scored to go 1-0 up. Then the 1-1 goal was obviously a bit of a mistake from me, the ball came right on top of me and I did not know how to clear it better.

“When things are going for you, that ball falls to a teammate, not an opponent who sticks it in. The equaliser gave them confidence, then came the penalty, which I’d have to see again, but I thought there was a push on Rudiger.

“That is the situation we are in. The second half they began better, but from minute 70 or 75 we had the game in our hands. we had chances to equalise, but… the ball does not want to go in. So we lost a game we could have won.

“I don’t know about confidence, but it was a silly goal to give away at a set-piece, and the other penalty came very quickly afterwards. So very quickly you find yourself behind.

“At the break we said to keep doing the same thing, and the second half they were a bit better, but then we had the chances to equalise.”
