Channel 4’s Gogglebox is set for a dose of Hollywood.
Kieran Culkin, his wife Jazz Charton, Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton are taking part in this year’s Gogglebox for Stand up to Cancer goes Hollywood!, potentially some of the most high-profile stars to have been involved with the hit Channel 4 show in its 12-year history.
The couples will settle on their couches and watch some of the week’s best British TV while commenting on it for the show, which is one of the UK’s most popular. Gogglebox sees couples, siblings, relatives and friends commenting on the best TV of the week.
This year has a big dose of Hollywood, with Oscar-winner Culkin, Black Hawk Down star Hartnett and St Trinian’s actress Egerton. Culkin’s appearance comes a year after he and A Real Pain co-star Jesse Eisenberg went viral for a discussion about Gogglebox on the Leave A Message with Ally & G podcast.
Hartnett said: “Tamsin introduced me to Gogglebox many years ago and I’ve been a fan ever since. Having the chance to sit with her, share a few laughs and inevitably say something that embarrasses us both, all while helping raise awareness for the worthiest of charities, is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. I’m incredibly excited to be a part of it, and to support Stand up to Cancer.”
Gogglebox has been a huge hit in the UK. A U.S. version, The People’s Couch, aired for four seasons on Bravo between 2013 and 2016. It is produced by The Traitors maker Studio Lambert.
The show will air in two day’s time on Channel 4.
