DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for the NBA Cup on December 10

Bill Yin makes his DraftKings Pick6 selections for tonight’s slate of NBA games.

The first night of the NBA Cup matchups ended with both winners scoring 117 points; the Magic sealed the win against the Heat with a spectacular Desmond Bane 37 piece, while the Knicks crushed the Raptors in a 16 point victory. We’ll get to see the Western half tonight, with the Suns visiting the Thunder and the Spurs visiting the Lakers.

These two matchups are NBA Cup games, so they’re both Western Conference contests; the winners of tonight’s games will play each other in the next round.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Luka Doncic More than 33.5 Points

The Slovenian superstar is surging amidst another MVP-worthy campaign. Following his first offseason with his new Lakers squad, he’s averaging 35 PPG and is likely to continue at this pace all season long. He’ll go up against the Spurs tonight, who have a league-average defense at best without Victor Wembanyama, who will remain on the shelf for tonight’s NBA Cup game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander More Than 31.5 Points

The walking 30 piece is back tonight after a rest night off against the Utah Jazz. Like Doncic, Gilgeous-Alexander is also blitzing through the league this season, as evidenced by his team’s 23-1 record. OKC are the current golden standard of NBA excellence and we’ll get to see that on full display tonight as they take on the Suns.

I’m expecting Gilgeous-Alexander to continue wreaking havoc offensively. He’s eclipsed 31.5 points four times in his last five games.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander More Than 1.5 Steals

He can also do it on the defensive end. Phoenix is in the bottom third of the league in terms of turnovers per game, and OKC’s defense is ranked first in forcing opponent turnovers per game at a whopping 17.5. Gilgeous-Alexander is individually averaging 1.4 steals this season but averaged 1.7 last season and 2 the season before that. In a high-stakes NBA Cup matchup, SGA should be getting proactive on both ends and it’s easy to see him playing a ton of minutes tonight, which should help him gather these steals.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
