Pope Leo XIV makes first Irish announcement, returning Bishop Niall Coll to his native diocese

In his first Irish appointment, Pope Leo XIV has announced that Bishop Niall Coll will leave the Diocese of Ossory and return to his native Diocese of Raphoe in the northwest of the country.

The news was announced simultaneously in the Vatican and Ireland on Thursday morning.
