Kathmandu lose 4 wickets for 14 runs against Lumbini in NPL eliminator

KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Kathmandu Gorkhas’ batting lineup collapsed early in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Eliminator match. Before the end of the powerplay, the team lost four of its main batters.

At a score of 14 runs, Ben Charlesworth was dismissed as the fourth wicket. On the first ball of the fifth over, Lumbini bowler Ruben Trampelman induced a catch by wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella to dismiss Charlesworth, who managed only 4 runs off 5 balls.

Earlier, Sher Malla and Ruben Trampelman had kept Kathmandu under pressure, taking two wickets each so far.

At present, Kathmandu Gorkhas are 16 runs for 4 wickets, with Bhim Sarki and Jon Simpson at the crease.
