Hello and Welcome to the highlights of the Qualifier 2 of NPL 2025 between Biratnagar Kings and the Lumbini Lions at the Tribhuvan University Ground on Thursday, December 11. LUL beat BIK comprehensively by 40 runs in the Qualifier 2. BIK won the toss and invited LUL to bat first. LUL got off to a decent start but lost their momentum in their mid-day because of wickets at regular intervals by BIK bowlers. Somehow, they managed to reach to 134 courtesy to D’Arcy Short (45) and Rohit Paudel’s (34) partnership. Pratik GS and Subash Bhandari picked 3 wickets each for BIK. To what appeared to be an easy chase turned out to be a mountain to climb for BIK as they never looked in the chase at any point in time. BIK kept losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually got all-out for 94 thus losing by 40 runs. Trumpelmann was the pick of the bowler who started it for LUL by picking two wickets in the 1st over and Tilak Bhandari build on it and took 3 wickets to break the back of BIK’s middle and lower-middle order.
