FIFA is making the latest release of tickets in coming days, with the most faithful Scotland Supporters Club hoping to get first dibs on briefs for games against Haiti, Morocco and Brazil.

Scotland fans heading for the USA are desperate to secure briefs for matches against Haiti, Morocco and Brazil.
Q. What is happening with Scotland’s World Cup tickets?
A. On Monday FIFA will allow the SFA to give details on individual fans and their total loyalty points. Those with the maximum 32 points will be given first refusal on the cheaper tickets.
Q. How will it work?
A. The SFA will issue registered fans codes on Monday, which will give access to FIFA’s ticket site. Those with most points will get first dibs and any tickets left over will go to those lower down the pecking order.
Q. How many tickets will be up for grabs on Monday?
A. There will be around 15,000 in the SFA’s allocation (8% of stadia capacity) but around a third of these could go to affiliates like sponsors.
Q. How much can the most loyal fans expect to pay?
A. Given the cheapest Cat4 tickets, at $60, are reserved for local people, Scottish fans will have to dig deeper. But FIFA still haven’t nailed down the final price. Fans expect a price of $200 for Cat 3 tickets and far more again for the upper categories.
Q. Will there be other avenues for briefs?
A. The “secondary” market is alive and kicking in the USA – and profiteering by touts is already through the roof. Fans are being warned to avoid such sites, where tickets can’t be guaranteed and could be cancelled by FIFA without notice.
