The current highest successful chase is 209, which it chased down against Australia in 2023. Josh Inglis scored a first-innings century, but fifties from Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan were enough to take it to a two-wicket victory.
India’s highest total in the second innings of a T20I is 244 for four, but it came in an agonising one-run defeat to West Indies in Fort Lauderdale in 2016. K.L. Rahul struck a 46-ball century after West Indies posted 245 for six, but Dhoni was dismissed off the final ball of the innings by Dwayne Bravo.
