Three rushed to hospital as bus full of Conference League fans are attacked by hammer-wielding hooligans

THREE people were rushed to hospital after a bus full of football fans was attacked by hammer-wielding hooligans.
The incident occurred in Poland ahead of Jagiellonia Bialystok’s home Conference League clash against Spanish LaLiga side Rayo Vallecano.

According to Polskie Radio 24, a bus full of visiting fans was travelling overnight on the S8 motorway near the town of Ostrow Mazowiecka, located between Bialystok and Poland’s capital city Warsaw.
But terrifyingly, the vehicle was stopped while travelling by two passenger cars.
They blocked the road as FIFTY men then descended on the stuck bus from a hole cut in a nearby fence.
It’s reported they were armed with weapons including hammers and batons.

The multitude of thugs then forced their way onto the bus and began attacking the Spanish supporters.
It’s believed that 10 people were injured in the clash, nine of them being visiting fans and the other a local Pole.
Three were left with bad injuries and were immediately rushed to hospital.
Police quickly scoured the area for suspects and pulled over one car with four people inside.

It’s claimed they found Jagiellonia Bialystok scarves and paraphernalia, as well as a pair of scissors believed to have been used to cut the fence by the motorway – allowing the hammer-wielding thugs to launch their attack.
Despite the incident, tonight’s match is still set to go ahead at 5.45pm.
Jagiellonia sit 9th in the Conference League table after four games with two wins and two draws.
As for Vallecano, they are 12th with seven points to their name – one less than tonight’s opponents.
