T.J. Watt Hospitalized for Lung Evaluation, Status for Steelers vs. Dolphins TBD

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt has been hospitalized for “medical evaluation of his lung,” team spokesman Burt Lauten said Thursday.
Watt will miss Thursday’s practice and is questionable for Monday’s Week 15 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.
According to Lauten, Watt first experienced “discomfort” while at the Steelers’ practice facility Wednesday.
Watt has played in 47 consecutive regular-season games for the Steelers, including the first 13 contests of the 2025 campaign.
He currently leads Steelers defenders with 7.0 sacks and 18 quarterback hits while adding two fumble recoveries and an interception so far this season.
Watt most recently took a season-high 70 snaps while making a tackle for loss and recording a quarterback hit in Sunday’s Week 14 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
The linebacker, who turned 31 in October, is signed through 2028 after he ended a minicamp holdout by signing a three-year extension worth $123 million in July.
The Steelers (7-6) snapped a two-game losing skid and reclaimed the AFC North lead with their Week 14 victory over the Ravens (6-7). Whichever team does not win the division is at risk of missing the playoffs.
