Back in November, Remedy have registered Control Resonant trademark, and considering the sequel of Control is officially in development, it was a hint that the title could be announced soon. The Game Awards 2025 ceremony is about to start in a few hours, and there is a high chance the game will be confirmed during the show.

Right now, we have another hint it might actually happen: insider Shinobi602, who is well-known in gaming industry as reliable source, replied to one of the users at ResetEra. Someone called UnluckyKate says: “It’s too early for control 2 they are remaking both max paynes firsts, but maybe the control tv show yes”, and insider replied intriguendly – “Are you sure“, even without question mark, as you can see on the picture below:
That might be a teaser not only Control 2 could be announced at TGA 2015, but we might get some look at Max Payne dilogy remake, announced back in 2022 as part of the cooperation with Rockstar Games. The rights for Max Payne franchise are now belong to Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games.
