Investigation underway after body in vehicle found outside Humber River Hospital

An investigation is underway after a body was found inside a vehicle parked near the entrance to Humber River Hospital’s emergency department on Wednesday evening.
Toronto police told CP24 that just after 6:30 p.m. they responded to a call for unknown trouble near Wilson Avenue and Keele Street.
A media officer noted that the circumstances of the death are still under investigation.
Toronto paramedics said they were also called to that area at that time and attended. They said the patient was pronounced deceased at the scene and the coroner is now investigating.
Paramedics could not say how long the body found may have been there.
Footage from the scene shows a black Volkswagen sedan parked directly outside the front doors of the hospital’s emergency department surrounded by crime scene tape and emergency response vehicles.
The Office of the Chief Coroner has confirmed to CP24 that it is investigating, but declined to provide any further details at this time.
CP24 has also reached out to Humber River Hospital for comment.
