Kneecap announced as first headliner at major Irish festival

Kneecap fans rejoice! The rappers have been announced as the first headliner of a major Irish festival in 2026.

The west Belfast trio are well versed in taking to the stage, having performed at two of the world’s biggest festivals, Glastonbury and Coachella.

However, the group won’t need to get on an 11-hour flight to perform their latest booking as they’ll only need to navigate to Waterford.

Kneecap is set to play All Together Now in 2026. The festival takes place on the sprawling grounds of Curraghmore Estate on the August Bank Holiday Weekend.

All Together Now is going into its seventh year and is only getting bigger. Fontaines DC headlined the sold-out festival last year.

The Dublin-based band are close pals with the lads from Kneecap, which is made up of Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara, and DJ Próvaí, and have performed with the rappers plenty of times.

All Together Now took to social media to reveal the news on Tuesday, writing: ‘We’re thrilled to welcome Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí: anti-establishment lyricists, explosive performers, activists, actors, and undeniably one of the most important bands in contemporary music.’

‘Kneecap’s message rings loud and clear: unity, community, collective action, and the power of raving, punk, and rap, all driven by a revolutionary sound and ethos.

‘Their blistering live shows have sparked a global wave of fans, and we cannot wait to see them take the ATN stage,’ they penned on social media.

Festival goers were thrilled by the announcement, taking to the comment section to share their excitement.

‘Aaahhhhh brilliant,’ one person said, while another added: ‘You always do a great job, roll on the new year.’

All Together Now will be held on 30 July – 02 August 2026. They are set to announce more acts in due course.
