‘I’ve been on a high ever since, it’s ridiculous, I am like a child. I am not able to sleep with happiness, so I am completely fecking exhausted,” Joseph O’Connor said.

The Dublin novelist is in good spirits as his book The Ghosts of Rome has been named the overall An Post Irish Book of the Year 2025.
